CSC-Thanksgiving Message 2022 PDF  | Print |  E-mail
CSC Family,
From my perspectives, this was going to be another difficult Thanksgiving under Biden's deliberate attempt to take America further down the road of Obama's Fundamentally Changing America by aligning with the radical-Left's Great Reset agenda including the so-called "Progressive" Green New Deal, BLM's Marxist nightmare linked to the Swamp's (name who you believe is part of it!) attacks on personal liberty against anyone opposing what they want.

Just in case you think I'm overly pessimistic, here is what I said in last year's Thanksgiving message:

After a disheartening year that included the pandemic, a stolen election and the collapse of the MAGA approach to Domestic and Foreign Policy, we now have a Thanksgiving that comes on the heels of one of the most vile terrorist attacks by a BLM racist on a Christmas parade in a small "Heartland of America " town,  Waukesha, WI. Our thoughts and prayers  are not only with the victims of the attack, but also with that town that was violated by a life-long criminal who should not have been out on bail that day.

So, while it is possible to bemoan all the bad things taking place as mentioned above, if you reflect on the Rockwell rendition of Thanksgiving circa 1943, you can conclude that in the still dark days of WWII, America had not folded as our enemies had assumed we would. Lesson to our contemporary foreign and domestic enemies:  It is not part of our American  DNA to quit; as that applies to CSC, we will not stand-by and watch things go south because the political class in DC may not politically fight Biden and the Radicals running the country into a deeper hole.  CSC cannot accept things as they are and you know that CSC has always found a way to bounce back after some disheartening years under Obama and the disaster of 2020!  Think about this 2022 campaign—yes, we were disappointed, but look how we were able to help our candidates this past year that led to two wins to Board of Education seats and two close losses for the State House. What that means to me is that despite the bumps, CSC always hangs in there. There is an old football adage that applies to more than football: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going"--we need to be tough now more than ever because the dangers to our beloved Constitutional Republic are real and all patriots need to join together to PRESS ALL ELECTED OFFICALS AT EVERY LEVEL TO SUPPORT THE MAGA FREEDOM  AGENDA. We will be working with other state groups here in Alabama to ensure that the RINO GOP now in charge of the House does not bail out on shutting down Biden at every turn as they did with Obama in 2010 and 2014 --we have a DUTY TO HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE STARTING WITH JERRY CARL AT THE THINK TANK ON 3 DECEMBER. More on that next week.

With the challenges we have in front of us, and the need for us to prevail, it's worth looking at something Washington said in his Thanksgiving Proclamations about giving thanks to God and imploring Him to grant us protection and favor:
Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

In closing, on a sad note, one of our long term members, Betty Gaynor, passed on Tuesday. As you'll read from Kay's memorial below, Betty was a dedicated lady who helped Kay in so many ways and will be greatly missed by all of us. Please keep Betty and her family in your prayers as we ask for God's mercy for her soul. If you are interested in attending her funeral, it will be in her hometown of Millary  at 11am—we'll have more information on her funeral tomorrow.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving to all of the CSC family. Lou (For Cody)

FROM KAY

Tuesday  Nov. 22, God called one of our own home.
Those of us that had the great pleasure of knowing Betty Gaynor were richer for it.
It was many years ago at one of our CSC So. MOBILE events Betty came into our lives.
Betty was faithful and True to her God and Country and took a bold stand for her conservative beliefs, making her an outstanding CSC member.
Waving flags, sign waving for her candidates( Dean Young, Judge Moore, Jim Zeigler, Pete Riehm. Jerry Carl, Charlie Wyckoff) just a few favorites, especially Dean and The Judge.
Betty was not weak on standing for her views and tried to help others.
Trips to Montgomery on the Bus. She and Ron frying fish at Fowl River great memories! Their are so many, Betty's contributions to us cannot be summarized in just words!
A genuine  Lady in every respect.
I along with all your friends and family will miss you, You left quite a Legacy, Well done thy good and faithful servant.
Till we meet again.
Kay Day and CSC Patriots
By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.
Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.
and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.
Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
