National Propaganda Radio

There is no doubt to anyone with half a fair mind that National Public Radio has skewed liberal for decades.  However, since the election of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States, NPR has gone all out to paint him as a dangerous, unhinged, mentally deranged, uncaring, bigoted, racist, homophobe, sexist, misogynist lout.

All presidents, including Donald Trump, will be found to do both good and bad, the percentages of each being determined by those of us who observe them.  However, on NPR, you will listen in vain for any token of a redeeming principle in President Donald Trump.  To the contrary, Trump is skewered on program after program, his political views all criticized and condemned, his person attacked, and his mental state questioned.  On NPR, Trump can do no right.  I am reminded of the pastor friend of mine who, when listening to the member of another church criticizing his own pastor, replied, “Shut up!  No one man can do that much wrong.”

Not content to constantly and consistently attack Trump themselves, NPR also runs programming by the British Broadcasting Company on which Trump is excoriated hour after hour.  The program, BBC-America, should be retitled “BBC Hates Trump.”  From across the pond comes constant condemnation of President Trump in London accents.

Now you would think that a broadcasting concern funded by taxpayer money would be more “fair and balanced.”  However, National Public Radio is every bit as rabid in its anti-Trump vitriol as MSNBC.  The only difference is that a few people actually listen to NPR.

The sad truth is (and it is sad, since we all pay for it) that NPR promotes the far-left agenda every day and on every issue.  In fact, since I receive the Democrat Party talking points every day, I already know what NPR will be saying today.

There is another problem with National Public Radio.  It is supposed to be commercial free.  Sponsors of programming, in past times, were given a mere mention of their business name.  Now, NPR consistently runs what must honestly be called 15-second commercials.  This is an unfair competition with commercial radio stations that depend on advertising dollars to exist.

It is because NPR is nothing more than a shill for the Democrat Party, and it is not commercial free, but an openly commercial enterprise in competition with other commercial stations that receive no taxpayer funding, that the United States Congress should discontinue sending taxpayer money to them.  Let those who want to hear the always slanted far-left diatribes on National Propaganda Radio pay for them out of their own pockets, and not from mine.
