It is imperative the people learn their rights per the Constitution, but it is also very important that we recognize the raw politics at work to preserve and expand power in Washington.  Thomas Sowell presents a good overview of how politicians distract us to usurp more power by growing government dependency.  Pay attention America!  Our government has and is incrementally eroding our freedom.  We only noticed because the Obama administration accelerated our decline enough that we finally realized we were skidding over a cliff.
