Prayer for the United States of America

Basis for the Construction of the Prayer

The wording in this prayer is based on over 20 years of study of the Scriptures of the Holy Bible, study of commentaries on the Scriptures by Bible scholars and coaching by Dean Cassels (a Bible and seminary scholar from Starke, FL).

HOWEVER, I take no credit for this prayer. If it is good and worthy to be lifted up to Heaven, I give all credit and glory to my Lord Jesus, His purifying Blood and to the indwelling Holy Spirit. Baruch Hashim Adonai. (That is not “tongues.” It’s Hebrew: “Blessed be the name of the Lord.”)

The following scriptures will help the reader and supplicant to understand why the wording of the prayer is important and why it is important for Christians to band together to pray for our nation and its leaders.

Matthew 5:44—48

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect. [“The word ‘perfect’ here implies full development, growth into maturity of godliness.” C. Mark 11:25—26

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. [See also Matthew 18:24—35.]

Remember, the enemies of Christ are not saved. They are doomed to an eternity in Hell and deserve your pity. No Christian would ever want anyone to face such a fate—not even their enemies.

Romans 12:17—21

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

The NLT Bible says, “…burning coals of shame....”

I Thessalonians 5:17 and 22

17 Pray without ceasing.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Prayer for the United States of America

The Prayer

Gracious, mighty and merciful Heavenly Father; hear my prayers and bless: President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and their children; Vice President Mike Pence, his wife, Karen and their children; Attorney General Jeff Sessions, his wife and their children; and The Congress of the United States.

Bless their mental, physical, spiritual and emotional good health.

Bless their finances, their financial security and their retirement.

Protect them from accident, injury, illness, disease, attack, vandalism, terrorism, rape, robbery, murder, incest and any kind of problems whatsoever.

Wrap your cloak of protection around them, send your legions of angels to stand guard over them, empower their guardian angels with great authority over evil, bathe them in the Blood of Jesus, deliver them out of the hands of Satan, save their souls.

Lift any curses, evil or negative energies, incantations or spells on them, their spouses, their children or their grandchildren unto the 10^th generation.

Holy Father, I have prayed for blessings on the leadership of my country—the United States of America. Please return unto me and my family, my friends and loved ones, my brothers and sisters in the Lord and my beloved country The United States of America, 10-fold all the blessings I have prayed upon others: [List by name all family members, friends and loved ones you wish to bless.]

Blessed be the Name of the Lord (YHWH). Worthy is the Lamb, Praise the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Holy Father, I offer up these prayers and blessings in the Name of Jesus and by the Blood of the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world was laid.
